INTERSOS is an Italian-founded international humanitarian organisation that works in areas of severe poverty, violence, war, and natural or man-made disasters.
As an autonomous entity, INTERSOS collaborates with many regional organisations and organisations in addition to major European and global organisations and agencies. It has observer status at the International Organisation for Migration and consultative status in the UN Economic and Social Council. It is also a member of ICVA, VOICE, and LINK 2007.
Our employees have been delivering relief to communities impacted by humanitarian disasters since 1992, with an emphasis on safeguarding the most defenceless among us, giving emergency shelter, administering medical attention, and distributing essentials. We assist in providing for fundamental necessities including the right to food, water, health, shelter, and education.

We work hard to make sure that everyone who is in a risky or vulnerable situation can receive our humanitarian response. While laying the groundwork for development processes, we also strive to increase public understanding of humanitarian principles, fundamental rights, and the inherent worth of every human being.
The workplaces
The Rome-based headquarters of INTERSOS ensures efficiency and openness in operations across the numerous intervention countries. INTERSOS also maintains a representation office in Geneva in addition to hubs in Amman, Dakar, and Nairobi. A subsidiary group called INTERSOS Hellas was established by INTERSOS in Greece to oversee humanitarian initiatives there.
